Biography
Diane C. Semmel of Honeoye Falls, NY went to heaven to be with her mother Anne, father Raymond and brother, Roger on January 25, 2012.
Diane was born the November 8, 1937 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Raymond and Anne Roller Pearson. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Honeoye Falls, where she was a Deacon and was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Diane was an avid Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan.
Diane leaves her beloved husband Gerald L. Semmel of 49 years; Diane also leaves her daughter, Tracy (Todd) Ford and son Christopher (Lori) Semmel and her granddaughter Taylor Ford, grandsons Travis and Trevor Ford, Mason, Parker and Easton Semmel, all of whom she loved very much as they did her. Also, her very close friend, Millie Merritt. Diane will also be missed by her loving canine companion, Jessica.
Diane fought stupid cancer for four years from smoking stupid cigarettes. The Semmel family would like to thank the Pluta Cancer Center and the 5th floor east nurses and doctors at Highland Hospital for all their loving care. We would also like to thank Diane's wonderful neighbors, Ray and Denise Crouch and Robert Steve.
At Diane's request, no prior calling will be observed. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2012 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima. Rev. Val Fowler officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pluta Cancer Center, 125 Red Creek Drive, Suite 101, Rochester, NY 14623 in Diane's memory.

Tracy I am so sorry for your loss, I will always remember your mom from your wedding and how much fun she had dancing the night away... I am very sorry for your loss. I spent many days years ago listening to Diane and her stories, she is a wonderful person. Her family meant everything to her. She will be sadly missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
