Obituary of Louise R. Brege

Louis R. Brege of Honeoye Falls, formerly of Rush, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 7, 2009 at age 88. Louise was born Anna Louise Richer on September 19, 1920 in Pittsford, NY, the daughter of Charles and Iva Walrath Richer. She was a very active member of the Rush United Methodist Church and the Rush Senior Citizens, living independently until her recent illness. She was predeceased by her loving husband Norman W. Brege to whom she was married 41 years. She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Daniel (Sheri) and Michael; her grandson, Christopher (Sara); and great grandsons, Tyler and Colin, along with her close and loving extended family. Our family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Strong Memorial Hospital Unit 3400, Visiting Nurse Hospice Unit at Strong and The Jewish Home for the loving and compassionate care she received. Special thanks go out to all her family and friends with whom Louise held a special place in their hearts, and to Betty Brandes who was her very special friend and companion. No prior calling. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of her life on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 11 am at the Rush United Methodist Church, 6200 Rush-Lima Road. Private burial, Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rush UMC Mortgage Fund, P.O. Box 49, the Rush Volunteer Fire Department, 1971 Rush Mendon Road, Rush, NY 14543 or the Hospice Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642.
