Obituary of Leland M. Smith

Leland M. Smith of Geneseo, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at age 93. Loving husband, father and grandfather. He was born the son of Carl and Carrie Eddy Smith on September 3, 1922 in Cuba, NY. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Honeoye Falls. Leland enjoyed his family, hunting and fishing and overlooking Conesus Lake. He participated in his church and also grange activities. He was predeceased by his wife Alma. He is survived by his daughters, Randa (Paul) Foster, Leanna Shirley and Sally Smith; grandchildren, Paul (Susan) Foster, Kenneth (Debbie) Foster, Michael Shirley, Carrie (Roy) Hawkins, Joseph (Jean) Shirley and Kathleen Shirley; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, April 29, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His Funeral Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 27 N. Main St. Honeoye Falls on Saturday at 11 am. Burial Oakridge Cemetery, Lima. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lifetime Care Hospice or the American Heart Assoc.
