Larry T. O'Brien of Lima and formerly of Honeoye Falls, NY died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at age 82. He was born the son of the late Harry and Etha Eldridge O'Brien on March 10, 1937 in Rochester, NY. Larry owned and operated O'Brien Brothers Printing, in Honeoye Falls. It was a family business started by his grandfather in 1882, and subsequently run by his father, Harry and two uncles from 1916 until 1958 when Harry passed away and Larry joined the business full-time. He became the sole owner in 1969. For many decades, the company was well-known for printing the town's weekly newspaper, The Honeoye Falls Times. For years, Larry could be found working all hours, driven by his passion for his work, and his desire to deliver only the finest quality work. He made time for his community, serving for several years in the National Guard, and as a volunteer fireman for the Honeoye Falls Fire Department. Other passions included farming, carpentry, cars and drag racing, along with playing his trumpet. His big, ready smile, great sense of humor and warmth made him a friend to many. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Dwaine) Kimmet; sister, Frances Oosterling; several nieces, nephews and cousins. No prior calling. Friends may attend Services Monday, November 25, 2019 at 3 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Burial, Honeoye Falls Cemetery and then everyone is invited to join in sharing some stories and catching up together at Flaherty's on West Main Street in Honeoye Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Honeoye Falls Fire Department.
