Obituary of Edward T. Werdein

Edward Thomas Werdein of Bloomfield: At age 65, Ed passed away on January 21, 2025, at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born on February 10, 1959, to the late Edward J. and Eileen (Scharr) Werdein. He is survived by his wife, Susan (VanDeMar) Werdein, and, daughter, Sara (Brittany) Spaulding, brother, Joesph (Tracey Hillman) Werdein, sisters, Anne (Kim) Greenberg, Patricia Werdein, Mary (Rob) Hill and Karen (Michael) Kelly. Ed was a devoted and loyal husband, father, brother and friend whose warm smile and kind words were a warm embrace to all whose path he crossed. Ed had a gift for forming sincere, honest and lasting friendships with those from his childhood through his adult life and he was true a blessing to all he knew. Ed was a hard worker with a broad love for animals, woodworking, his work painting, the outdoors and trips to the River with friends. Calling hours will be held at Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe St. in Honeoye Falls on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 3pm – 5pm. Ed's memorial service will immediately follow calling. Burial will be held at a later date.
