Extending condolences to all loved ones, family, and friends of Joel. I know he will be greatly missed. He served and was loved by many people in his community as well as those close to him. I myself did not live near but numerous times, when passing through Honeoye Falls to visit my sister Loren, experienced his generous and strong spirit. He loved to share the delicious venison and stories that he often had as a result of his beloved time in the woods. May he rest in peace. Sandra Hayner

Condolences to Robin family and friends. Thinking of all the fond memories of Joel. Traveling the back country out west, especially Polebridge, Montanna, one of Joel's favorite places. Boating, fishing, music and enjoying the outdoors. Joel will be remembered for his life of service, values, humor, drive, determination and being a genuine man. You could always rely on him for advice and support. Joel was a giver and a fighter till the end. Your bright light will shine on all that love you. Bless you, thank you, peace and love my friend. On to the next journey.

Our deepest sympathies to all of Joel’s family and friends. We were very close for many years, he got me into the nuisance trapping business as well when we worked together at the jail. We were the tag team at MCF, known by the inmates as “Batman and Robin” if we came into a unit together, it meant something was going down and they all scrambled to hide their contraband (we found it anyway!). I never worked with someone I trusted more than Joel. He was one of the best.
We fished and hunted together, I called in his first gobbler that he shot, what an awesome day that was! We shot many pheasants together over his dog, too.
He was a great man and will be terribly missed. May he rest in peace, love you brother.
