Obituary of Lynn M. Costanzo

May 18, 1950 - March 29, 2025

Massapequa, NY - Bloomfield, NY

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn M. Costanzo, beloved wife of Gary V. Costanzo, on March 29, 2025 at the age of 74. She passed away after a short illness at Strong Memorial hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Lynn graduated from Plainedge High School on Long Island and went on to C.W. Post College where she met Gary during their Geology studies. Lynn and Gary were married on July 12, 1983 in Glencove, NY. Together, they shared nearly 42 wonderful years and raised three loving children and dozens of pets.

She was a devoted wife who always put the needs of her family first. She loved the adventure of starting life anew, and happily created loving homes in Kansas, Minnesota and New York. In her younger years, she was a talented artist and many of her pictures still have pride of place at our home. Lynn was a voracious mystery reader who could be found most nights seated on the couch with legs tucked under her reading a whodunit.

She was a loving daughter to Joseph and Ruth Agurkis, and a wonderful sister to John and Joann. She was a proud mother to Christopher, Anne and Alexander, and a cherished grandmother to Carmine and Gianna.

Lynn will be remembered for her kindness and love of all animals, especially her many cats, including ferals, and her big lovable dogs. Her ashes will be mingled with all of theirs to share eternity.

No prior calling or services will be held. A family celebration of life is being planned.
