Obituary of Gary L. Lambert

Gary Lee Lambert, born in Pittsford NY, from Honeoye Falls NY. Passed on March 28th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Gary was born in Pittsford in his home to Bob and Lura Lambert. He graduated from Pittsford Sutherland High School, in 1964. He moved on from there, eventually landing in the grocery store business at an early age. In 1972 he became the owner of the RUSH BIG M. Located in Rush, NY. Gary owned the store for 35 years. He often helped people carry their groceries to the car and built lasting relationships with his customers. Gary was a proud man who cherished his family, friends, and community. He dedicated himself to local charities, sponsored sports teams, and held a long-term charter membership with the Lions Club, showing his commitment even as his health declined. For 19 years, Gary faced Parkinson's Disease with remarkable resilience, never complaining and always embracing life with his signature sense of humor. His spirit continues to inspire all who knew him. He is lovingly remembered by his four daughters and their spouses: Robin and Bill McIntee of Lima, NY; Mindy Lambert of Farmington, NY; Jodi and Cade Strand of Everson, WA; and Jeannine and Andy Colvin of Rush, NY. Their cherished memories of him will forever hold a special place in their hearts. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, his significant other Kim Salerno, and their dog, Maggie Lambert, as well as Kathy Ahearn, his first wife and dear friend, and Pud Lambert, his wife for 44 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Lura Lambert, his brother Bill Lambert, and his sister Ann Rector. Come help us celebrate his wonderful life! Without their support, his life would not have been as fulfilling as it was until the end.
