Cornelia Schouten passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025. Predeceased by her husband, Simon of 57 years. Survived by her children Simone Schouten (Ford Kinney), Cathaline Schouten, John (Brenda) Schouten, Magdalena (Philip) MacDonald & Hilaireen Schouten; grandchildren Emily (Aaron) Donlon, Amanda(Ryan) Travis, Leanne Kinney, Traesa Kinney (Alex Thomas), Molly MacDonald, Alana MacDonald, John Schouten, Omar Kinney, Sara (James) Edie, Brenton (Maria) Hall and Jillian Hall. Also, her sisters Tina VanRoon, Vera Berkhout, Letta Slemmer, many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

Cornelia married and emigrated from the Netherlands in 1952. Together with Simon, they built a successful home improvement business and encouraged and assisted friends and family to follow in their footsteps.

Cornelia loved travel, gardening and was an excellent seamstress. Life revolved around meals and coffee at their kitchen table on Crittenden Rd.

No prior calling. Friends may attend her Graveside Service, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 12 pm at Pine Hill Cemetery in Rush, NY.
