Rocky and I were so very fortunate to be tent camping at Dover with our kids when I made bacon and eggs for breakfast and Tom who was in his camper next door said “that smells Delicious”! We shared our breakfast with him and Rod and we became fast forever friends. So many of our summer vacation memories happened because we met Tom. He helped us to buy our first 5th wheel. Planned our upstate NY vacation and started our tradition of going to Watkins Glen for many years. We met his friends Roger and Jonnie and started going to his cottage for a week every year along with the race. Rocky even made it into the very special crew that went to Bristol which was a highlight for Rocky every year!!! Our camper led us to the Sea Pirate campground by the shore in NJ and that started our almost 20 years of our shore summers. Eventually the kids got big and the summers at Keuka and Watkins Glen ended and even going to the Dover races stopped but Tom or Tom and Darliene would come visit us at the shore. We even had a few visits with Roger and his sons when they would come to Nj! Through Tom we also met Chris and Terry and Rocky keeps in touch with these men still. As Tom began to not feel well the weekly calls came less frequent but at least once or twice a month Tom and Rocky would chat for a bit. I know Rocky will miss these calls. We just want to say Thank You Tom for being so special in our lives. You will live on in our memories as there are many!!!

I had the honor of a long working relationship with Tom at Xerox in Webster during the 1980's and 1990's. He was always professional, highly intelligent and action oriented. It was good. RIP Tom . My best wishes and condolences to his family.
