So sorry to hear of Diane's passing. I met her about 12 years ago when I was bowhunting on a neighboring property and needed to cut across the corner of hers to track a buck. I knocked on the door to ask for her permission and she happily obliged. That turned into me stopping by once or twice a year for the last 12 years just to check in on her and say hello. Sometimes chatting for 5 minutes, and other times for an hour or more. I don't know what made me search for her obituary, but I was out there watching the sunset last night and glanced at her house wondering how she was. Not sure if her family will read this, but please accept my condolences. I looked forward to stopping in every Fall, knocking on the door and hearing, "Oh hi Mike! I'll be right out."

Diane Harris shared one of the suites in her office at 1545 East Ave. with Feminists Choosing Life of New York. Lengthy and insightful conversations took place over coffee or bagels frequently. Diane was an icon of what it means to be a feminist,. Trophies and awards were scattered throughout her office, one celebrating Diane's breaking the glass ceiling at Bausch and Lomb. She maintained a true reverence for womanhood at the same time as being a feminist. She upheld both the dignity of womanhood and motherhood, folding those together seamlessly.
We looked to Diane as a mentor, but more importantly, as a friend. She will be missed tremendously.

We were sorry to learn of Diane's passing. I worked with Diane at Bausch & Lomb and learned a lot from her. I had hoped to see her last year on my trip to Rochester, and this is reminder that tomorrow is not guaranteed. Many great memories. Our condolences to her family.
