Obituary of David Zona

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Zona, age 57, of Honeoye Falls. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Tubbs) Zona, daughter, Molly and son James. His parents, Sam and Kathleen Zona, siblings, John (Mirella) Zona and sister Lisa (Tony) Tondryk. His sister-in-law Julie Yaeger and brother-in-law Jeremiah Tubbs. Along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and special friend Paul "Doodles" White. Dave was predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ted and Patty Tubbs and sister-in-law Anne Tubbs. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family playing golf, skiing, bowling and slot machines. Dave was the life of the party. He loved to make people laugh and he loved everyone. Friends may call Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 4-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at 10 am in St. Paul of the Cross Church, 31 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Burial services will follow at Ascension Garden, 1900 Pinnacle Road, Henrietta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wilmot Cancer Center or the Livingston County Hospice.
