Obituary of Elio James Modafferi

Elio James Modafferi was born into heaven at 6:05 pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025 via C-section due to labor complications at Unity Hospital in Rochester, New York. He was 3 lbs 14 oz and 17.5" long.

His parents spent treasured time together in the hospital holding him, reading to him, and telling him stories about his big sister and their dog. His big sister met Elio and together they took cherished photos and made loving keepsake memories. The family takes comfort knowing that all he ever knew was warmth and love inside his mother's belly. His parents look forward to reuniting with him in heaven someday.

Elio James is survived by his parents, Emily and Chris Modafferi, his older sister, Eisley, his uncle, Andrew Ostrander, his maternal grandparents, Connie and Dale Ostrander, and his parental grandparents, Judy and Richard Modafferi. He is also survived by his great grandparents: Ruth Kell, Robert Ostrander, and Margaret and Christopher Colley, and his great great grandfather, Raymond Kell.

Elio James has joined many great and great great grandparents in Heaven.
