Obituary of Kenneth L. Britton

Kenneth Britton, a proud resident of Ionia, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4th at the age of 80. Ken lived a life marked by service, devotion, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of nature and family.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Henry and Loretta Britton, his sister Loretta Proper, and his niece Tammy Proper. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Lynn, whose love and partnership were the cornerstone of his world. He was a cherished father to Andrew (Vicky) and Luke (Elizabeth), and a proud grandfather to five beautiful granddaughters: Grace, Abigail, Sophia, Emma, and Molly. His brother, Henry (Marlene).  Ken also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember his warmth, humor, and generosity.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Ken served with honor during the Vietnam War as an F4C crew chief in a tactical fighter squadron. His dedication and skill as a fighter jet mechanic reflected his quiet strength and commitment to excellence.

Following his military service, Ken built a long and respected career at Southco in Honeoye Falls. Outside of work, he found joy in the outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, or golfing—and treasured his winters spent in Florida, where he embraced the sunshine and serenity.

Ken's life will be celebrated on Sunday, November 16th at Flaherty's, 60 W Main Street, Honeoye Falls. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, with visitation from 2:00 to 3:30 pm and a remembrance ceremony beginning at 3:30 pm.
