Obituary of Robert Jon Cowan

Robert J. Cowan, age 60, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, after a courageous year-long battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Cowan Sr.

Rob is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Jody Cowan; his daughter, Natalie (Cherokee) Rosen; and his cherished granddaughters, Ember and Scarlett Rosen. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Carol Cowan, and his siblings: Donald Cowan (Cindy Carris), Melanie (Richard) Franck, Richard Cowan, Betsy (Michael) Scira, and Allison Freiberger, along with many nieces and nephews.

A true outdoorsman, Rob was an avid cyclist who also enjoyed riding snowmobiles and spending time outdoors, whether he was chopping wood in his Carhartt gear or mowing the lawn on his zero-turn mower. He loved comedy and possessed a witty sense of humor, quoting movies and sitcoms effortlessly. Rob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, touching the lives of many with his kindness and passion for life.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 11 AM at All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, with burial immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Teresa House at teresashouse.org/donation    

Rob will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
