Obituary of Margaret Shellman Wasson

In Memory of Margaret Shellman Wasson

My baby sister was finally beaten by cancer. Passing on January 21, 2026. She was the strongest person I knew, and gave it all she had, but it was her time to go home. She was cared for in her home. In her bed, by Joseph and her sister, under hospice care.

She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Dorothy Shellman. Shis is survived by her son Ted Parker and grandson Alex Parker; her longtime partner Joseph Felice, brother Joe (Debbie) Shellman, her big sister Mary Ann Shellman, and a multitude of first cousins….Shellman's and McGeary's. AND her beloved cats, Momma Em, EM and Niki.

Margaret grew up on a farm in West Bloomfield, where her cousins were either up or down the road. Whenever she attempted to ride her bike to visit one of them, there was usually a crash of some kind involved. She attended Bloomfield HS, and in the 90's she obtained an Associates Degree from FLCC in social work. She spent many years at United Cerebral Palsy day program, giving care to students that most of us could never dream of doing.

Together Margaret and Jospeh operated Country Soul off Norton Street in Honeoye Falls for some years as well as traveling all over to craft/antique shows together, selling treasures and Joseph's woodworking creations Or swap meets, or Public Market, or Florida in the winter.

She helped her son Ted (Caccamise Moving) in the office in her later years, answering incoming calls to schedule moves, and often, counseling and comforting customers.

No prior calling or services will be held. The family is having a Celebration of Life on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 11 am at St. John's Episcopal, 11 Episcopal Way, Honeoye Falls, in the Social Hall, opposite the Church.

We hope all that knew Margaret will be able to attend.

In lieu of flowers, I KNOW she would appreciate any donations to Lollypop Farm. www.lollyop.org
