I had the pleasure of working with Garrett for 4 years at the Atlanta VCL office. Garrett always brought the laughs and energy to our team even while doing difficult work. Despite his health challenges, Garrett remained positive and was always willing to offer a helpful hand or a listening ear. He will be greatly missed. Garrett lived out deeply the mission of the Veterans Crisis Line, always bringing his full heart and focus on service. He lived out daily keeping the Veteran at the center of everything we do. I know his work saved lives, helping bring light and hope for others in their darkest times. To all his family and loved ones, may you be given strength during this difficult time and may you be surrounded by the love of others, reflecting on the beautiful memory of Garrett and all the lives he touched.
