Evelyn Mae (Batzel) Duncan , Honeoye Falls, March 2, 2026

Evelyn was born on October 3, 1931 in Honeoye Falls, NY where she resided the majority of her 94 years before peacefully passing away at home. She was in the presence of her loving and devoted husband of 75 years and family.

Evie drove a bus for BOCES where she made many lasting friendships with the people she met at the various schools she went to. After she retired from driving school bus, Evie spent her time as the secretary for the milk hauling business she and Dean built from the ground up. While it wasn't always easy, Evie made the schedules for the drivers taking into consideration their families and keeping holidays fair as milk hauling is an every day job. She also managed the payroll and various other aspects of running a business behind the scenes. She continued to manage these tasks until they decided to sell the business just 4 years ago.

Family played a huge role in Evie's life. She would do anything for those she loved and always had time for a visit or a phone call. Evie showed care and concern for all of her loved ones. She worried about everyone's well-being, illustrating how important her family was to her. She loved to hear about what was going on in the lives of those she adored.

Evelyn is survived by her caring and loyal husband, Dean Duncan, her son, Burt Duncan, 4 grandchildren, April (Wesley) Pettee, Dean (Cassie) Duncan, Heather (Eric) Gillette, Adam Duncan, 7 great grandchildren, Jacqueline, Owen and Rebecca Pettee, Ryan and Anna Gillette, Samuel and Matthew Duncan, sister, Beverly (Daniel) Farrell, brother in law, John (Betty) Farrell and nephew, Daniel Farrell. She is predeceased by her parents Burt and Helen Batzel and a son, Larry Duncan.

Evie will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, remembered for her resilience, her unwavering devotion, and her loving heart. Calling hours will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, NY. Service immediately following.
