Asa Burton, 74, passed away on April 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 28, 1952, Asa lived a life defined by dedication, hard work, and a deep passion for railroads.

A graduate of Honeoye Falls High School, Asa went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career working on the Lehigh Valley Railroad, where he developed a lifelong love for steam locomotives and the railroad industry. He later continued his service to the community with the Village of Honeoye Falls Department of Public Works, from which he retired in 2008. Asa was also a life long member of the Honeoye Falls Fire Department.

Asa was well known for his enthusiasm for steam engines and trains, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. Whether sharing stories, knowledge, or simply enjoying the sight and sound of a passing train, it was something that brought him great joy and connected him with many others.

Above all, Asa was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his sons, James and Corey (Amy Lynn); and his daughter, Amy Jo (Rick). He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Paige, Nick, Kaeleigh, and Keirsten, as well as his beloved great-grandchild, Noah, who brought immense pride and happiness to his life.

Asa will be remembered for his strength, his dedication to his family, and the quiet impact he made on those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
