Nancy F.C. Nudd Obituary
West Bloomfield – Nancy Francis Catherine (Roth) Nudd, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 16, 2026. She is survived by two daughters, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Also, surviving is one sister-in-law and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie in 1997.
Nancy was born in Batavia, NY, on December 31, 1932 to William and Anna (Dart) Roth. She survived polio when she was 12 years old; sadly, losing her mother at the same time (who was a nurse and contracted polio herself). She grew up in Bergen, NY, graduated from Bergen High School and from Rochester Business Institute. Nancy met her future sister-in-law Edna (Beth) Nudd while working together at Gerber Baby Foods. Beth was the one who introduced Nancy to her future husband (her brother, Charlie). Nancy and Charlie were wed on October 11, 1958, and settled in Bloomfield, which became their life-long home.
Special mention and thanks to dear friends Mary Jo and Jacquie, who would visit Nancy regularly and engage her in a few rounds of Rummikub, her favorite game. Niece Judy was also a regular visitor, lunching with her and engaging Nancy in a few card games. Also, much appreciation and thanks to her home health aides – Karen and Kathy – their care and compassion helped Nancy to be able to remain in her home.
Friends may call Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 1-4 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. where Services will be held Monday, July 27 at 11 am. Buiral, Millers Corners Cemetery, Ionia.
