Robert Freeman, 75, of Mendon, NY, passed away on June 2nd after a short and difficult battle with Parkinson's. He is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Erin (Albert) Freeman, his beloved granddaughter Morrigan, several in-laws and soon to be twenty nieces and nephews.
Robert was pre-deceased by his mother Barbara Freeman, father Harold Freeman, brother "Skip" Freeman, sister Dianne Crichton, sister Linda Clawson, sister-in-law Kathleen Freeman and niece Stephanie Freeman.
Robert "Bob" served his country in the US Navy from 1969-1973 as a medic in Vietnam off the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid. After serving in the Navy, Robert got his first job at Mobil Chemical in Macedon making Baggie Alligator sandwich bags for 3 years. He then joined Eastman Kodak Roll Coating division in Rochester where he boasted 26 years of perfect attendance as a film inspector.
Robert was an accomplished guitar player and a wonderful singer and would present himself as Elvis anytime he got the opportunity. His off beat sense of humor was a delight to all who knew him. His love for the Buffalo Bills was proven as a 13 year season ticket holder who never missed a single home game.
Although he will be sadly missed by many, please rejoice with our family that Robert is in a better place and his suffering is over.
A gravesite memorial service will be held at the Calvary Cemetery on Parrish Street in Canandaigua on Sunday, August 6th at 3pm.
