Obituary of Raman Qazi

Raman Qazi (October 3, 1943 - December 9, 2023)

In loving memory of Dr. Raman Qazi, devoted husband, father of two sons, and grandfather of five who passed away on Saturday December 9th after living 80 years to the fullest extent possible.

Dr. Qazi was a tireless and committed hematologist/oncologist who cared deeply for his patients and touched the lives of many people over his long professional career. He was adored by his patients and their families, and held the belief that improving the lives of those he came in contact with was both essential and rewarding.

As dedicated as he was to his work, Raman also believed in keeping the other most important aspects of his life in separate watertight compartments, and in doing so succeeded in maintaining a life in balance. He loved reading, music, fine dining and travel, often planning elaborate trips for his family that included these activities. He also placed a strong emphasis on education, hard work and the ingredients required to build strong moral character.

Raman led his family by example, and they will collectively continue to keep his beliefs and ideals alive through their actions. He is survived by his wife of 46 years (Dr. Savita Puri Quazi), his two sons (Robin and James) and his five loving grandchildren (Alexa, Elias, Jasper, Maya, and Ines).

The family will have a private funeral.  In lieu of flowers please donate your favorite charity.
