Obituary of Casey M. McGowan

Casey M. McGowan of Rush and Rochester, 44 years old, lost his long and courageous battle with cancer on March 3, 2016.  He was predeceased by his father Michael E. McGowan He is survived by his mother Deborah A. Mack-McGowan; sister, Kelly C. (Jerry) Dumont; nephews Justin and Ryan Dumont. His long time partner in life Jennifer Kelly. Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. His beloved cats Simba, Max, Simon and Esther. Casey was a long time employee at RH Crane Elementary School. A special heart felt thank you to Casey’s “ Crane Angels” medical staff at Wilmot Cancer Center, and staff at Hildebrandt Hospice Center for caring for Casey in his time of need. Friends may call Sunday,  March 6, 2016 from 1-4 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Private burial, Pine Hill Cemetery.  Family is requesting donations be sent to Crane Elementary Social Club, 85 Shell Edge Dr., Rochester, NY 14623.   A physical education award fund will be set up in Casey’s Honor.
