Obituary of Walter A. Briggs

Walter A. Briggs of Bloomfield, NY went home to be with the Lord, Friday, May 9, 2014. He was 83 years old and was born Memorial Day, May 30, 1930 in Rochester, NY to Alva and Flora Richards Briggs. He retired from Kodak May 1, 1986 with a perfect attendance record. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Marilyn; his children, Ronald Briggs, Patricia (Ken) Jensen, Janet Briggs, 6 Grandchildren, many Great-Grandchildren, his brother, Richard "Dickie" (Eunice) Briggs, sisters-in-law, Isabelle Briggs and Christine "Edith" Briggs, his brother-in-law, Lloyd "Bud" Lochner, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeased by his parents; his daughter, Cathy; siblings, Donald "Pete" (Alice), William (Lorraine), Frederick "Frogs," June (Ross) Serio, Charles "Chucky" (Marilyn), Alva "Ozzie," Jacqueline "Jackie" (William) Remillard and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2 PM at Grace Covenant Church, 224 Chestnut Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14624. Those in attendance are invited to stay for refreshments following the service.
