Obituary of Donald Scott

Donald C. Scott of Cape Coral, Florida and formerly of Mendon, NY died Monday, February 12, 2024. He was born the son of the late Donald and Kathryn (Charles) Scott in Warsaw, NY, on December 29, 1939.

Don is survived by his wife, Margaret (Frawley) Scott of 63 years; children: Karen (John) Adamczuk, Matthew Scott, Barbara (Robert Teresa) Scott; grandchildren: Angela Scott, Shannon (Tim) FitzMorris, and Daniel Adamczuk; one great grandchild, Lily DiPasquale; sister, Kathleen (Tom) Reynolds; sisters-in-law Joan Osterhout, Patricia (Ron) Buchbinder and Sr. St. Luke Hardy, SSJ; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Don graduated from Webster High School in 1958.  He was employed at B. R. DeWitt Enterprises for 45 years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union, and a lifetime member of the Mendon Fire Department.  Don and Marge lived in Mendon for 43 years and have been living in Pine Island and Cape Coral since 2004.

Friends may call Friday, April 5, 2024 from 4-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 6 at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena, 26 Mendon Ionia Road, Mendon. Burial, Mendon Cemetery.
