Obituary of Betty K. Krist

Betty K. Krist (Kolmer) Betty Krist peacefully passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at the age of 103. She was born in Rochester, NY on July 6, 1921. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie Kolmer, husband Harold E., brother Raymond, niece Linda Smith, and nephew John Krist. A 35 year employee of Kodak, Betty lived in Rush for 70 years. She loved her vacations on Chautauqua Lake, working in her yard, family gatherings, her pet cats, and the Rush Seniors organization. Betty is survived by niece Susan Krist of Westerville, OH, nephews Robert (Joyce) Krist of Webster, NY, and Ted (Hazel) Krist of Northfield, OH. She is survived by 4 great nephews, 3 great nieces, 7 great great nephews, and 3 great great nieces. Betty is also survived by several dear friends including Gail Mack. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7 at 11:00 AM, at Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lollypop Farm Humane Society, or the Rush Fire Department.
