Growing up next to David and Bruce was fantastic. Remember David's pink t-bird, climbing the willow tree in his back yard. Good times!

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of David Lord. My family, the Herman’s, lived next to the Lord family since 1957 and as kids we grew up together. David was like an older brother who I admired greatly. David will always be remembered for his artistic and creative skill in creating automotive masterpieces but while we were in grade school he made me the most beautiful Valentine’s box I’d ever seen. As a young adult David taught me the finer points of automotives such as the difference between a 3 and 4 barrel carburetor and how not to slip a clutch when engaging a gear. He was a most patient teacher. In all, my memories of David are fond ones. I last saw David in the early 1980’s and that snapshot in my mind is of a slender man with a headful of lacquered down red hair who was full of life, joy, and a sense of humor. May he rest in eternal peace knowing he was loved by many.
