Obituary of John G. DeWind

John G. DeWind of Henrietta, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at age 96. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen, sons Richard and Michael. Survived by his children, Larry (Be`), Daniel, Christopher, Charlotte Gould, Catherine Tisdale, Janine (Gary) Hamilton, Lucy DeWind and Maureen (Steven) Schmidt; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; brother Gilbert DeWind and sister Theda Heidt. Several nieces and nephews. John was a WW II Army Veteran and a retiree of Xerox Corporation in Webster. He was also a member of Good Shepherd Church in Henrietta. No prior calling. Funeral Mass Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10 am at Saint Marianne Cope Parish at Church of the Good Shepherd, 3318 E. Henrietta Road, Henrietta. Reception to follow at Roberts Cabin @ Henrietta Town Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to Catholic Charities of Rochester, 1150 Buffalo Rd. Rochester, NY 14624.
