Obituary of Judith A. Nielsen

Judith Ann Nielsen, 71, of Lima, New York, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. She was one of four children born to Lawrence and Pearl Leervig in Fosston, MN, on April 1, 1944. Judy will forever be remembered by her devoted husband of over 47 years, Paul Nielsen, together with her beloved children, Rebecca Lamvol and Matthew Nielsen, treasured grandchildren Sophia, Annette, Oliver and Theodore Lamvol, and loving siblings, Larry Leervig and Mary Paulson, along with numerous other family and friends who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Doris Leervig. Judy touched the lives of many people with her kindness and generosity, and maintained her strong faith in God all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of her life on Friday, August 7, at 4pm at The Lutheran Church of the Epiphany, 6050 Avon-Lima Road, Avon, NY 14414. Donations in her memory may be made to the aforementioned church or the Wilmot Cancer Center.
