Obituary of Dorothy R Panipinto

Dorothy R. Panipinto of Mendon died October 17, 2012 at age 92. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Panipinto. Survived by her sister, Marion Lindsay of Pittsford, children Jean Arena of Carroll Valley, PA, Joanne Wolcott of Golden CO, and David (Monica) Panipinto of Walworth, NY; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Claire) Wolcott, Sarah (Matthew) Westbrook and Yanko Panipinto; great grandchildren, Abigail and Jackson Wolcott and Benjamin Westbrook. Dorothy was a long time member of the Mendon Home Bureau, Mendon Homemakers and the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Senior Citizens Club. An activist in spirit, Dorothy was an early member of the Common Cause. She was a strong supporter of the civil rights movement and attended the Mothers' March on Washington as a member of the Rochester Area Women for Peace. She retired from Harris Corporation/R.F. Communications in 1982. She was loved by family, friends and co-workers for her kindness and generosity. Dorothy's family is forever grateful to the staff at Brentland Woods (Episcopal Senior Life Community) for the loving care that they provided. Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 11 am to 11:45 am at St. Catherine of Siena (Chapel) 26 Mendon Ionia Road, Mendon where her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Noon.
