Gary was a good friend of mine back when we were in a band back in 1984. We had a lot of laughs and knew each other since we were in grade school. He always had an intrest in singing. We we in chorous together in 6th grade and he sang suprano! When my buddy Bill leonard and drummer Tom Hoyt wanted to get a band together, he was the first choice. Those were the days. I think of him often and hope to see him in heaven.- Alan Donlon

To the family,
You are all close to my heart and deeply in my prayers. I pray to the God of love, that you may come quickly to him, when you are in need of protection and sympathy. To guard you against sorrow that is drawn from the imagination. May God help you to not allow grief to drag you into misery, but with strength and courage may you find happiness in God's daily will. Amen.
"In the night of death, Hope sees a star, And listening love can hear the rustle of a wing".- Author unknown.
1 Thessalonians 4:13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Peace and love of Christ to you all,
Ricky Franklin

I am very sad to hear that Gary has passed on. I knew him more when we were younger...we grew up in the same neighborhood. I don't know if many knew this, but Gary was an unbelievably great singer...and incredibly intelligent. Much more than his humble and meek appearance would ever reveal. He was always cracking jokes ...speaking with british accents and always had a smile on his face. Time goes by so fast..and some leave too soon. May time bring peace and healing to all who love and miss Gary so much. You will not be forgotten my old friend.

To Gary's family,
We are former members of HFPC & moved out of state last year.
I was so saddened to read the prayer chain info on Gary's final journey. But to know he is truly HOME now is to celebrate. God welcomed him joyfully I am sure.
Gary & I went on the New Orleans mission trip together 5 years ago. He & I painted doors together. :-)
When we went "out on the town" a couple of evenings Gary stayed by my side as we all walked as I have trouble walking any distance & could not keep up. Gary was so kind to me & I have always remembered that. I was so grateful for his kindness.
I am so glad he found HFPC & still congregation. He helped the church while Christ & HFPC helped him. That is Christianity in action. God bless Gary.
Our deepest sympathy to all of you.

Gary will be missed so much. We will miss our conversations that took place when he was given a ride to or from home. He touched our lives in so many ways. The Community meal will not be the same without him. You are at peace our friend. Our sympathy to his family.

Gary always seemed to have nothing but love in his heart. Always a kind word and a smile. As he walked to and from the village, he would pass my mothers house. Mom is a shut-in and Gary knew this. He would always take a minute to stop and wave and blow her a kiss, which brightened mom's day. He was a very special man. He will be missed by us all.

Dear Gary, I was deeply saddened to hear of your passing. I will miss seeing you taking your daily walk in the village. You always had a kind word and a smile for everyone you met. You often spoke of the love you had for your church, and your pride in your children. You were a special greeter at your church's community dinners; now you cheerfully greet new arrivals to Heaven.
