Robert W. Young, after a very brief illness, on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at age 83. Predeceased by his wife Ruth and brother Tom. He is survived by his son David (Lori) Young of MA and his daughter Amy (Bob) Belmont of Honeoye. Grandchildren, Michael, Rachel, Alyssa and Rob. Great grandchildren, Ryan, Nicole and Synde. Sister, Annabelle; brothers, Ed and Wes. Friend and companion, Marjorie MacKenzie. Several nieces and nephews.

Bob was an active member of the Union Lodge #45 F&AM in Lima where he was past Master. He was 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite and past Monarch of Lalla Rookh Grotto. He was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #384 in Lima where he was past Patron. He served in the US Navy as a Pharmacists Mate during WW II and was a member of the Francis M. Dalton American Legion Post #282, Lima. Bob was a faithful and dedicated member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Honeoye Falls and also volunteered for over 27 years at Highland Hospital.

The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at Highland Hospital and the Highlands at Brighton for the wonderful care you gave Dad during his stay there.

Friends may call TODAY, Friday, January 9, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His Funeral will be held Saturday, January 10, 10 am at St. Johns Episcopal Church, 11 Episcopal Ave, Honeoye Falls. Burial, N. Bloomfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillside Children's Home, 1183 Monroe Ave. Rochester, NY 14620.
