Obituary of R. Morley Maxwell

R. Morley Maxwell of Rush, NY died, January 20, 2009 at age 81. He was born the son of Gordon and Marian Ramsey Maxwell on January 12, 1928 in Smith Falls, Ontario, Canada. Morley was a member of the Rush United Methodist Church, the Rochester Curling Club and was a past member of the Town of Rush Planning Board and Town Councilman. He was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Morley was a 30 year employee of the Xerox Corp., retiring in 1987 as an Account Analyst. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Norma; his children, Eric (Christine) Maxwell of Conesus and Elaine (Jim) Trescott of Livonia. Grandchildren, Joshua, Erin, Jason Trescott and Jeremiah (Holly), Elizabeth and Melissa Maxwell. Brothers, Murray (Mary) Maxwell, Glenn Maxwell and sister, Marian Ufford all of Canada. Several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, January 23, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His funeral service will be held Saturday, January 24 at 11 at the Rush United Methodist Church, 6200 Rush-Lima Road. Burial will be in, Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush, NY.
