Obituary of Mary Ann Barrett

Mary Ann Barrett (Washington) age 78 of Honeoye Falls died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Rochester General Hospital. She was born April 9, 1930 in Hawarden, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Helen Smyder Lang, Sr. She was predeceased by her husbands, Robert J. Washington in 1971 and Robert T. Barrett in 1995. Survived by sons, Michael and Patrick Washington (Catherine Mahrt); daughters, Susan Washington (Charles Alderson) and Kathleen Gikis. Grandchildren Courtney and Taylor Washington and Alexander Gikis. Mary Ann also leaves a sister Helen Aldrich and brother Frank J. Lang. Sisters in law Joan (Carlton) Mack, Mildred Byam and Violet Barrett. Mother in law Terry Washington; four step children; nieces, nephews and many loving friends who the family would like to thank for their love and support. The family wishes to acknowledge the care and efforts of Dr. Stephen Ettinghausen and his team; Dr. Gene Zito, the staff of RGH Unit 2800, and especially "Curly". No prior calling. Friends may attend her Funeral Mass, Thursday, January 29, 2009, 10 am at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 37 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Burial in Honeoye Falls Cemetery.
