Obituary of Helen T. Evangelos

Helen T. Evangelos of Pittsford passed away peacefully, March 6, 2009 at age 84. She was predeceased by her husband, James on February 22, 2009. Helen was formerly of Pittsford and Honeoye Falls, NY and was currently living at the DeMay Living Center in Newark, NY . She was born the daughter of Kocho and Evanthia Kreshpani Checani on January 24, 1925 in Boston, MA. She is survived by her four sons, Mark (Elaine) of Palmyra, NY, Jeffrey (Harolyn) of Friendship, ME, James Evangelos Jr. of Brooklyn, NY and Gary (Anne) of Buffalo, NY. Eight grandchildren: Jamie, Rachel, Jeffrey, Ethan, Andrew, Emily, James and Peter. Two great grandchildren: Blaine and Braden. Brothers, Robert (Dorothy); Richard (Eiko), and Theodore (Mary) Checani. Sister in law, Carmen Checani. Also predeceased by brother, Charles Checani. No prior calling. Friends may attend her Funeral Service, Friday, March 13, 2009, 11 am at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home Inc., 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Burial in Honeoye Falls Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
