Obituary of John W. Kelly

John W. Kelly, on December 28, 2012 at age 97. Predeceased by his beloved wife Wilma (2008) and son Richard. Survived by daughter Patricia (Gerard) Pavelsky of Honeoye Falls, son William (Rick Easterly) Kelly of Rochester; his three treasured grandson and their families: Michael and Maria Pavelsky and son Owen of Philadelphia; Luke and Jyoti Kelly and their children Jaan and Arya of Shanghai, China; Shane and Holly Kelly and their son Jonze of Pittsburgh; and former daughter in law Jo Ann (Thomas) Shepard of Canandaigua; cousin, nieces and nephews, Wilma's extended family in Canada and many friends. John was a proud veteran of World War II and a retired employee of DuPont Co. He lived his life with grace and dignity, devoted to his family and his country. In his final days, he told his family "I had a wonderful life." Following a brief illness, John finished his long journey at the home of Tom and Jo Ann Shepard surrounded by beloved family, friends and his dedicated caregivers Susan, Jen, Holly and Barb. On Saturday, January 26, 2013, calling hours will be held from 10 am to noon at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls where a Memorial Service will follow at noon.
