Obituary of Robert Jobe
Robert "Bob" Jobe age 79 of Honeoye Falls, died Sunday, June 14, 2009. He was born the son of Frederick and Martha Boon Jobe on November 27, 1929 in Rochester, NY. He Leaves in deep sorrow his wife Jane; daughters, Donna (Gary) Muldoon and Carrie Jobe; son, Glenn (Wendy Lopez) Jobe; step children Sarah (Casey) Merkey, Alicia Frank (Barry Cogan), Justin Frank and Emily (Corry) Aldridge; sisters in law and brothers in law; a niece and nephew. 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and life long friend, Bob Piper. Predeceased by brother, Jim Jobe.
Bob graduated from Brighton High School, Hamilton College and RIT. After serving in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he became a tool and die maker at Stever-Locke Inc., retiring as General Manager after 33 years. Bob used his skills as a craftsman and perfectionist while working on his antique clock collection, making miniatures, and every other task he took on. Cats and discerning people knew him as a kind, gentle, and intelligent man with a quiet sense of humor.
Friends may call Monday, June 22, 2009 from 4-6:45 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls, where services will immediately follow. Private burial, N. Bloomfield Cemetery.
