Obituary of Geraldine C. Klipfel

Geraldine C. Klipfel "Gerry", of Honeoye Falls, died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at age 92. She was born the daughter of John and Mary Schuech Klipfel on December 3, 1916 in Rochester, NY. She is survived by her nephews, John (Cheryl) Klipfell, Michael Klipfell and Robert (Susan) Klipfel. 2 nieces and several cousins. Geraldine was a Veteran of WW II, serving as an Army nurse stationed in Iceland and is honored at the Women in Military Service Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery. After the war, she was a nurse at the VA Hospital in Batavia, retiring after 30 years of service to her country. She was a member of NARFE, Chapter 124. She was also a member of St. Josephs Church in Rush. No prior calling. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph's Church, 6105 Rush-Lima Road, Rush. Burial with Military Honors at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
