Obituary of James J. Carey

James J. Carey of Henrietta, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at St. Johns Nursing Home. He was 84. He was born the son of John and Anna Cahill Carey on September 5, 1925 in Honeoye Falls, NY. Jim was a member of Good Shepherd Church and was a WW II Veteran. He retired from Chloride Electro Networks in Caledonia where he was a Chief Electrical Engineer. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Monica Gaffney Carey; his loving daughters, Barbara Carey of Olympia, WA; Mary Ellen (Lewis) Whipple of Webster and Susan Carey of Rochester. 4 grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 3-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 12, 2009 at 10 am in Good Shepherd Church, 3318 East Henrietta Road, Henrietta. Burial, St. Paul of the Cross Cemetery, Honeoye Falls. Memorials may be made to the Church; Masses for the repose of his soul; American Heart Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
