It was a pleasure to celebrate her life today. When I think of Aunt Helen I think of the word comfort. Always the smell of something baking. A big bear hug. And such a sense of humor. I still have the hotpads she made for me in 1972. A bit risque! Her children, my cousins, were very blessed to have had her for so many years.

The smile on her face pretty much shows how I remember gram. I can hear her laugh, I can smell her house, and I can taste her cooking. She has a place in my heart that will be there forever. I feel so blessed to have have seen her and even had her talk with me a little in the few short days before she passed. We will miss you gram. Love you! -Meg

My Gram...She was a hard worker installing good work ethics in her family"do it right the 1st time and you wont have to do it over again".The last to bed and the first to rise. The best cook and baker. Her fried cakes X-mas stollen, meatballs and baked beans were always plentiful & made with love for every famiy gathering. There was no place more comfortable then cuddled in her lap sitting in the rocking chair listening to her sing or hum my troubles away.Gram never worried about voicing her opinion, sometimes we agreed sometimes we didnt but we always knew she ment well and never doubted that she loved us.I will always be grateful for the things she took time to teach me & helping me become the person I am today.I love you Gram.

We all have some of these similar memories: Christmas eve parties, Fried Cakes and Gramma's beautiful rendition of Easter Parade.
I also remember that Gramma was the one who, as soon as I graduated college and moved into my own apartment, heard I did not have a single pan or dish and sent me a box of them and of course some Fried Cakes.
These are some of reasons I can smile even though she is gone. She was the center of the Farrell family and she will be missed by all of us for reasons like these.
Say hi to Grampa for us.
Love you and Miss you,
Terry Farrell
