Obituary of Marvin F. Steele

Marvin F. Steele "Bud" of Conesus, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Avon Nursing Home. He was 84. Bud was born the son of Foster and Alice Mae Demming Steele on July 20, 1925 in Junius, NY. He worked as a mechanic for 30 years at Eastman Kodak Co., where he retired in 1986. Bud was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the US Army from 1950 to 1952 and the Army Reserves until 1956. He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha; children, Susan (Jesse) Rice, Roy (Becky) Steele, Kathy (David) Menken, Foster (Mariam) Steele, Timothy (Michelle) Steele, Alice Steele; sister, Alda Blamble; sister in law, Florence Steele; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, January 22, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Bud's Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 23 at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Livonia, 3836 Richmond Mills Road, Livonia Center. Burial will be held in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima. Memorials may be made to the VA Medical Center, 400 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
