Obituary of Donald J. Lewis

Donald J. Lewis, of Pittsford and formerly of Honeoye Falls, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at age 77. He was born the son of William and Edith Lake Lewis on July 4, 1933 in North Bloomfield, NY. He was a truck driver for many years for Montgomery Trucking in Caledonia. Don was predeceased by his parents, William and Ethel Lewis; step mother, Jenny; son, Donald J. Lewis, Jr.; brothers, Kenneth, Francis, Everett, Charles and step sister, Helen. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Beverly; daughter, Diana (Brian) Walker; daughter in law, Darlene (Daniel) Robbins; granddaughter, Katie (Terry) Cratsley; grandsons, Brandon Walker and Cody Robbins; great grandchildren, Terry Jr., Jozlynne and Gage Cratsley; brother, Robert (Rosemary); sister, Edith Culp; step sister, Shirley (Marvin) Silco; sisters in law, Florence Lewis, Peggy Klick and Joyce (James) Banker; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Don was a member of the Lakeville United Church of Christ, the Livonia Masonic Lodge, the Order of Eastern Star in Livingston District. Donald was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at the Pittsford Highlands Living Center, and Hospice for their kind support, love, and care for Don. No prior calling. Friends may attend his Funeral Service and Masonic Service on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 2 pm at the West Bloomfield Congregational Church, 9035 Routes 5 & 20. Burial, North Bloomfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the W. Bloomfield Congregational Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 5, W. Bloomfield, NY 14585 or the Highland Living Center in Pittsford.
