Obituary of Leone S. Schonher

Leone Simpson Schonher, "Onnie" of Rush, NY, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Onnie was 80. She was born the daughter of Gilbert and Edith Eaton Simpson on July 23, 1930 in Thurston, NY. She was a faithful member of Lima Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her son Herbert and she is survived by her husband of 56 years, Allen: daughter, Laura (Stephen) DeWinde; grandchildren, Meghan and Zachary DeWinde; brothers, Arthur and Leon "Harry" Simpson. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Onnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a servant of the Lord. A blessing to all those who knew her. Friends may call Friday, October 15, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home Inc., 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Her Funeral will be held Saturday, October 16, 2 pm at the Lima Baptist Church, 1574 Rochester St., Lima. Burial, Risingville Cemetery, Thurston, NY. Memorials may be made to the church.
