Obituary of Ellen Thornton

Ellen Thornton, of Rush, NY, formerly of Maryland, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at the age of 98. Ellen was born September 15, 1912 in Liverpool, England the daughter of Michael and Ellen McCormick McAlleer. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1992. Ellen is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Anthony) Mugnolo of Rush and Marguerite (Sylvester) Helminiak of MD. Her 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 7-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 10 at 10 am at St. Josephs Church, 6105 Rush-Lima Road, Rush. Ellen will be buried next to her beloved husband in Arlington National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Josephs Church.
