Obituary of Paul R. Towlson

Paul R. Towlson of Mendon, NY died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He was 75. Paul was born the son of Harold and Genevieve Hutton Towlson on October 5, 1935 in Schenectady, NY. He was predeceased by daughter, Darleen Scheffel; survived by wife, Carol; sons, Steven (Martha), Christopher (Susan); daughter, Dawn Towner; grandchildren, Anthony (Veronica), Samantha, Christa, Megan, Stephanie and Donald; great grandchildren, Justin, Brenden and Alexis; son in law, Richard Scheffel; brother, Howard (Marie); nieces, Betsy (David) De May, Diane, Susan, Barbara (William) Mirch; great nephews, David, Ryan and Jared; great niece Stephanie. Paul was a retiree of the NYS DOT. For many years, Paul coached Lyons Club hockey as well as many other youth sports. Remembrance of Paul's life will be held at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, Saturday, April 9 from 1-3 pm. Interment in Gouverneur, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's name to H.O.R.S.E. Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc. 7906 Dow Rd., Pavilion, NY 14525.
