Obituary of Barbara C. Johnson

Barbara Cote Johnson of Honeoye Falls, died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Rochester General Hospital after a very brief illness. Barb was 73. She was born the daughter of Norman and Joyce Marie Brooks Cote, Sr. on February 25, 1938 in Rochester, NY. Loving mother of her 3 sons, Eric (Martha), Curt (Debbie) and David (Michael); 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Claudine (Michael) Smith; sister in law, Katie Cote; many nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Barb's biggest joy was the relationships she built with the people of Honeoye Falls. Her unselfish service to so many was a testament of her loving and caring nature. She worked her entire life in Honeoye Falls, first with Emblidge Pharmacy and then Valentino's Pharmacy where she was kindly known as the "Candy Lady", and she was presently working at Rite Aid Pharmacy as a pharmacy clerk. Friends may call Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, where Services will be held Thursday, April 14 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
