I also remember swimming in my grandparent's pool at Campfire Road, and granddad would always float around the pool with his toes sticking out of the water, and he was able to do this for an extremely long time without a break. Not sure how he did that. I also recall talking music with him, and him showing off all of his keyboard/organs. He was a great musician.

Uncle Dick had the best sense of humor...I loved it! He was a great Uncle and we all will miss him so much! He was like a another brother to my Dad. They enjoyed golfing together at Lima and the 19th hole. I know they are together now in Heaven golfing. Much love to Aunt Jenny and my cousins. May your memories of your Dad make you smile and and bring you comfort.

I could never pick just one fond memory. I remember grandad playing his organ and Grandma and I dancing in the living room to it. I remember the time him and grandma had to sneak me onto the golf course and when we were far enough away they would let me put on the green and drive the cart from one hole to the next. I think my fondest memory would be him at my wedding. How excited he was to go and how proud he looked. At the end of the ceremony it was announced that there would be a receiving line for the bride and groom and their parents only. But just like grandad to not not care or pay attention there he showed up to be the first person in the receiving line to shake everyone's hand and thank them for coming. That smile of his on that day will forever be engraved into my memories of him. Grandad, I am proud to say that I get a lot of my personality from you. I would give anything to hear you call me "big girl" just one more time or to have you be here for when Evan and I start out family. You are greatly missed and loved. You will forever me in my heart. I love you Grandad.

My fondest memories of Granddad are the times he'd play the organ for me. He knew I was learning to play piano, so he used to "show off" for me by playing the organ and also let me play the organ (or try to, anyway). I will miss you, Granddad, and love you very much.

It should be no surprise that most of my memories of my granddad are golf-related, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He gave me my first set of golf clubs, which consisted of persimmon woods and Golden Bear blade irons that I really couldn't hit very well, but I treasured them regardless. There was also the time that I almost ran him over with a golf cart near the green of old #4 at Lima, now the Charleston Pines course. This was before I was able to play in the family tournament, but I was allowed to drive around with the players and learn the game. I guess that rule about having a driver's license in order to operate a golf cart is a good idea. And even though I hit him pretty good with the cart (enough to give him a little cut on his leg), he wasn't the least bit upset with me, or at least he didn't let on so. I also fondly remember when I was in my early 20s, living with my Grandma Grillo in Henrietta and working at McDonald's while going to Roberts Wesleyan College, if I had a weekday morning free, I would call him up and ask if I could go out golfing with him, Uncle Jim, and their group. Even if I would make a fiveball, he always welcomed me along, and we had great times doing it. In fact, I played my best 18-hole round ever with them, an 81 with 9 bogeys on my card.
