Rebecca "Bess" Meesig, of Rush, NY and was presently residing at Pinehurst Senior Living Center in Honeoye Falls, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at age 94.

Bess was born the daughter of Richard and Bessie O'Brien Dawson on January 5, 1917 in Teaneck, NJ. She was a member of St. Josephs Church in Rush and was an avid New York Yankee fan.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert and son, Ronald. Survived by her son, Robert (Pyong) Meesig; daughter, Barbara Lensing; her sister May Kinnersley; daughter in law, Connie Adams Meesig; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

There will be no prior visitation. Bess's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10 am at St. Josephs Church, 6105 Rush-Lima Road, Rush, NY. Burial, Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush, NY. Masses may be offered for the repose of her soul.
