Obituary of Lucy Lynn Parsons

Lucy L. Parsons, age 86 went home to be with her Lord and savior on May 23, 2011 after a full and blessed life. She was born in 1925 to Hugh Lynn and Mary Rowlinson Wilbur of Avon, NY. She was the beloved wife of William F. Parsons for 61 years who predeceased her on March 25, 2011. Wonderful mother of William H. (Karen Grosser) Parsons; Lynn P. (John) Chorich and Stephen F. (Sandra) Parsons. She was also grandmother to Benjamin, Jonathan, Barak, Timothy, Andrew and Katelyn Parsons. She is also survived by her brother Ernest (Lois) Lynn and sister in law Priscilla Parsons; nieces, Kathy Lynn, Elaine Botsford and nephews, Curtis Lynn, Mark and John Parsons, as well as other cousins. Lucy was an active member of Northridge Church of Rochester, NY for many years. She served in her hometown of Rush as a Board Member, Councilwoman, first elected woman Supervisor and on many other committees including the Library and the State School at Industry. Later she served on the Mendon Town Board. Lucy will be remembered for her love of family, service at church, interest in the neighborhood, and generosity and goodwill to all. She will be missed by many, but because of her faith in the loving work of Jesus Christ we know we will see her again in glory where there will be no more tears. Friends may call Tuesday May 31, 2011 from 7-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Graveside Service Wed. June 1 at 11 am followed by Services for Lucy and William at the Northridge Church, 2052 St. Paul St. at 12:30 pm.
