Obituary of Donald J. Kossow

Donald J. Kossow of Bristol, NY and formerly of Honeoye, died suddenly Thursday, July 7, 2011 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. Don was 72. He was born the son of Donald W. and Florence Bracken Kossow on April 26, 1939 in Canandaigua, NY. He was a retiree of Pactiv in Canandaigua. Don was a realtor and owned and operated Kossow Reality along with his wife June. He was a partner in the Richmond Mills Construction Company, building many houses in the Fingerlakes region. He was also a dairy farmer and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Mendon. Don is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, June; his children John Price and Edward Price, Grace (Dwight) Simonds, Rose (Jason) Richman; 3 grandchildren, Janiet, Margaret and Sophie; great grandson, Michael Ransom. Friends may call Tuesday July 12, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 11 am at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 18 Victor-Mendon Road, Mendon. Burial, Richmond Center Cemetery, Honeoye.
